Logitech Updates Its Clickless Mouse: PRO X3 Superstrike Gets 8kHz Polling and 135 Hours of Battery Life

Logitech G has announced the flagship PRO X3 Superstrike wireless mouse, which takes the concept of ditching traditional mechanical microswitches even further. The new model keeps the classic symmetrical shell of the esports-focused PRO series but adds a lighter build, improved weight balance, a new power-efficient chip and a higher polling rate. For competitive players, it’s one of the most advanced upgrades of the season: the system eliminates the physical wear on contacts and accidental double-clicks entirely.
The mouse is built around Logitech’s HITS (Haptic Inductive Trigger System) technology. Presses on the main buttons are registered by contactless inductive sensors, while a built-in vibration motor produces the familiar tactile click.
Fine-Tuned Buttons and the NxLOGI Chip
Dropping mechanical switches allowed Logitech to offer deep click customization tailored to each user’s play style. The mouse provides 10 actuation-point settings, five Rapid Trigger modes for instant reset when the button is released, and six levels of haptic feedback intensity. According to Logitech’s internal tests, the inductive design cuts hardware input latency by as much as 30 ms compared with standard mechanical and optical switches.
The key hardware upgrade is the NxLOGI processor. According to the company’s official blog, the chip uses 50% less power than the platform in the PRO X2 Superstrike. As a result, battery life has increased from 90 to 135 hours. The device can be charged via USB-C or with POWERPLAY wireless charging mats.

48,000 DPI HERO 2 Sensor and Body Balancing
Logitech’s engineers reworked the internal layout, moving heavy components closer to the center of the body for better stability during sharp flicks. The US version weighs just 59 grams, while the European model comes in at around 61 grams.
The HERO 2 optical sensor gets a spec bump: sensitivity is now up to 48,000 DPI, and maximum tracking speed reaches 930 IPS. In addition, the LIGHTSPEED wireless protocol now delivers an 8,000 Hz polling rate with a packet transmission interval of just 0.125 ms, both wirelessly and over a cable.
The final version of the mouse was refined with input from more than 70 professional esports players who tested prototypes over seven months, including during DreamHack tournaments. The new model is already on sale in the brand’s official store for $199.99 in the US and £169.99 in the UK.
