Cost of Hope DLC for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 launches on August 20 alongside patch 2.0

Release of the first major story supplement Cost of Hope (The Price of Hope) action S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl scheduled August 20, 2026. DLC will be released simultaneously on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

Along with the addition, a large-scale free version update will be available 2.0The game is based on the updated Unreal Engine 5.

Plot and Features of DLC Cost of Hope

The story of the expansion develops in parallel with the events of the main campaign:

• Main character: The protagonist Skif receives a mysterious signal on his PDA, which launches a separate chain of tasks.
• Conflict of factions: The plot focuses on breaking the fragile truce and a new stage in the confrontation between Duty and Freedom.
• Familiar characters: In addition, there will be veteran Zulus (acquainted with the “Call of Pripyat”) and the character Mavka.
• New territories: The Chernobyl nuclear power plant, as well as the locations of the West and Zalizny Lisu will be available for research.
• Gameplay: The expansion is designed for tens of hours of nonlinear passage, where the choice of the player affects the development of the story and fate of the characters.

On the day of the release of the DLC, all owners of the basic version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will receive a free update 2.0:
