Elon Musk has released a neural network Grok 4.6: the results of benchmarks and API prices

The company xAI officially announced the release of the flagship neural network Grok 4.6. The new model significantly outperforms version 4.5 in intelligence and code writing, retaining the available API tariffs, and is already open to developers. xAI Build platform.
The main competitors of the new model in xAI tests are the flagship models GPT-5.6 Sol Max from OpenAI and Fable 5 Max from Anthropic. In tests of agent programming, autonomous error correction and complex mathematical calculations, Grok 4.6 showed the following results:
- AA Intelligence Index (General Intelligence): Grok 4.6 High scored 61, equalling GPT-5.6 Sol Max (61) and approaching Fable 5 Max (62).
- CursorBench v3.2 (Code Writing Quality) 69.9% of successful solutions, which is higher than GPT-5.6 Sol Max (67.2%), but slightly inferior to Fable 5 Max (70.5%);
- FrontierCode v1.1 (complex programming): 61.3% vs. 60.6% for GPT-5.6 Sol Max and 63.6% for Fable 5 Max.

API cost and availability
The developers kept the tariffs at the level of Grok 4.5. The cost of using the basic version of Grok 4.6 through the API is $2 for 1 million input tokens and $6 for 1 million output tokens. The accelerated modification of the Grok 4.6 Fast costs exactly twice as much.
The model has already been added to the service xAI BuildCursor, as well as OpenRouter, Vercel and Cloudflare.
