Sucker Punch Announces Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition With Echoes of Sekigahara Story DLC and Roguelike Mode

Sucker Punch has officially announced Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition, a full release timed to the first anniversary of the game. The package will include the major story expansion Echoes of Sekigahara, the solo roguelike mode Most Wanted, and the free 2.0 update. It launches on October 1.

Echoes of Sekigahara Story and Timelines

The story expansion will tell a new chapter in Atsu’s journey and unfold across two timelines. In the present, Atsu travels to an unexplored valley in the Ezo region (Hokkaido), ruled by a bandit known as The Snake and his gang, the Vipers. In flashbacks, players will take part in the historic Battle of Sekigahara in 1600 on Honshu. Nagato, an important figure from Atsu’s past, will become one of her key allies.

Most Wanted Mode and Characters

Complete Edition will also add Most Wanted, a new solo roguelike mode. Players will take bounty contracts and clear combat arenas to earn upgrades. The mode features three playable characters with unique weapons:

• Atsu: dual katanas;
• Oyuki: a chain sickle, or kusarigama;
• Nagato: a traditional yari spear.

Update 2.0, Pricing, and Upgrade Options

Alongside the new edition on October 1, all owners of the original game will receive the free 2.0 update. It will add armor transmog, letting players keep the appearance of one armor set while using the stats of another, the relaxing dynamic screensaver mode Beauty of Yōtei, new music tracks for Watanabe mode, and additional photo mode elements.

The pricing is as follows:

• Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition: $69.99 for the full bundle with the base game, Legends multiplayer, the DLC, and Most Wanted;
• Upgrade for existing owners: $14.99, with a pre-order discount of $11.99 available until October 1.

Players who upgrade by September 30 will receive early access to the Sakai Armor, a nod to Jin Sakai’s armor from the first game in the series.
