Genshin Impact has released a massive update 7.0: the launch of Snow, a personal train and new characters

For Genshin Impact, a large-scale update 7.0 “Rightless eternal cold” was released, adding the long-awaited Snow region to the game. This release closes the main story chapter of Teivat, which HoYoverse has led players since 2020.

The design of Snow is inspired by the culture of Eastern Europe. The main hub of the region was the industrial city of Snezhnograd, where the Palace of the Queen and the headquarters of Fatua are located. The architecture of the palace is made in the Russian-Byzantine style with references to the Kronstadt Sea Cathedral. Throughout the region, players can travel on their own customized train, which serves as fast transport between stations and shelter from storms.

The storyline is tied to the energy crisis and a strong snowstorm. To protect against the new mode of survival in the cold, players use the gadget “Graya’s Eye”, working on “Kresnik-Energy”. By visiting the first Archon Statue in Snezhnaya, the Traveler can also discover resonance with the Cryo Element, gaining the skills of controlling the area and freezing enemies.

New characters and banners

Along with the new region, new heroes appeared in the game:

• Odette (5 ★, Cryo, One-Handed Sword): Prima ballerina of the Royal troupe and secret agent Fatua, whose fighting style is tied to the beat of movements;
• Alyosha (4 ★, Elektro, Treve): A hunter from the border village of Stretomorozsk, acting as an Electro-sapport. You can get it for free for passing the first chapter of the Snow story.

In parallel with the banner of Odette in the game returned Harlequino. For the complete passage of the plot block, Snow players can get up to 560 Source Stones.
