Bugatti and C SEED Unveil $500K Folding MicroLED TV That Hides in a Sideboard

Automotive brand Bugatti has teamed up with Austrian company C SEED to create a super TV called C SEED BUGATTI N1. When turned off, the device looks like a minimalist aluminum-and-carbon-fiber sideboard, but press a button and complex mechanics lift and unfold a massive 4K MicroLED screen up to 137 inches in just 45 seconds.

The flagship 137-inch version is over three meters wide, and the entire structure, including motorized drives and speakers, weighs 680 kg.

Five Seamless Modules and Bugatti Tourbillon Design

According to C SEED, the screen consists of five separate MicroLED panels. When activated, a column rises from the housing, and the panels silently unfold into a single flat surface.

  • Seam calibration: The proprietary Adaptive Gap Calibration technology aligns the micro-gaps between panels, making seams invisible to the viewer.
  • Display specs: 4K UHD resolution, HDR10+ support, peak brightness of 1000 nits, a contrast ratio of 30,000:1, and a refresh rate of up to 3840 Hz. The MicroLED crystals are rated for 100,000 hours of use.
  • Swivel mechanism: After unfolding, the stand can smoothly rotate 180 degrees to adjust the optimal viewing angle.

The sideboard’s exterior is inspired by the Bugatti Tourbillon hypercar: the housing features the signature C-line, carbon-fiber elements, and titanium accents. The “screen detox” concept aims to rid living spaces of a permanently visible black rectangle, turning the TV into a piece of luxury furniture.

Motorized Speakers and Estimated Price

The TV’s audio system is also fully motorized. As TechRadar notes, the housing integrates retractable planar-magnetic speakers from Wisdom Audio, delivering cinematic surround sound.

The official price of the C SEED BUGATTI N1 lineup (available in 110- and 137-inch versions) is available on request. However, according to estimates from industry publications, including Carscoops and MicroLED-Info, the larger 137-inch model costs around $500,000, comparable to the price of luxury sports cars.
