‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Closes in on Franchise Record as Box Office Tops $1.9B

Global box office receipts for Spider-Man: Brand New Day have crossed the $1.9 billion mark. The blockbuster, which previously entered the top 10 highest-grossing films in history, is set to surpass Spider-Man: No Way Home and become the highest-grossing superhero movie of all time.
According to tracking service Box Office Mojo, the domestic box office in the US and Canada generated around $735 million, while international sales reached $1.165 billion. To break the franchise’s all-time record, the film needs to cover the remaining gap to match No Way Home, which earned $1.921 billion including re-releases.
A key advantage for the new release has been its strong theatrical run in China, where ticket sales have already brought in roughly $200 million. The previous installment achieved its record without a wide release in China.
Analyst Forecasts and the $2 Billion Milestone
According to Forbes, the film’s total box office will surpass $1.95 billion following the current weekend, officially making it the top-grossing Spider-Man film.
Box office analysts estimate the film’s final global potential at $2.18–2.2 billion. If it clears the $2 billion mark, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will become only the eighth film in cinema history to reach that financial milestone.
