HONOR has announced its flagship HONOR Robot Phone, featuring a 200-megapixel camera on a retractable motorized arm with a four-axis gimbal. The device automatically tracks subjects, is powered by the AI-driven YOYO Robot Mode, and goes on sale August 18.

The smartphone’s main hardware highlight is its movable robotic gimbal: the camera module physically extends from the top of the body, rotating and tilting at speeds up to 360 degrees per second. The system recognizes gestures, keeps users centered in the frame during livestreams and video calls, and acts as an active gimbal stabilizer.

German professional cinema equipment maker ARRI helped tune the video capabilities, equipping the phone with signature cinematic color profiles and exposure modes. In addition to the movable 200MP primary sensor, the device features a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens and an ultrawide module.
