An action RPG called Stray Dog: nobody cares has appeared on Steam, quickly grabbing gamers’ attention with its wild gameplay concept. Players take control of a stray dog that holds a sword in its mouth and fights armed enemies.

The story follows a dog taken in by a fallen knight. After the knight mysteriously disappears, the dog picks up his old blade and sets off on a dangerous journey to find him.

Combat: Timing, Sparks, and Stealth Kills

Unlike the cozy world exploration of Stray, this new game offers a grim and challenging action combat experience. In gameplay teasers circulating on X (Twitter), the protagonist clashes with swordsmen in melee:

  • Parrying: The dog can deflect enemy strikes with the blade in its mouth, sending up sparks and stunning foes for a counterattack;
  • Stealth: The dog can sneak up behind patrolling enemies and perform instant stealth takedowns;
  • Enemy variety: Besides regular soldiers, the game features large monsters and bosses.

It’s this focus on timing and parrying that immediately drew comparisons to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice from the community. Viral clips of the game are already racking up hundreds of thousands of views and reposts.

The release date for Stray Dog: nobody cares hasn’t been announced yet, but the game’s page is already up for wishlisting.
