Team Spirit claimed the championship trophy at the prestigious BLAST Open Porto 2026 Counter-Strike 2 tournament, defeating European side MOUZ 3-1 in the grand final. This marks the team’s third major trophy of 2026 and their second consecutive title in just two weeks following their Esports World Cup victory in Saudi Arabia.
Mirror Revenge and Decisive Blowouts
The grand final was played in a best-of-five format. Spirit opened the series with a confident 13-8 victory on their opponent’s map pick, Dust2, but MOUZ fought back to level the score with a 13-11 win on Mirage. From there, the contest became one-sided: the favorites blew past the defense on Ancient (13-3) and sealed the series on Nuke with a 13-6 victory.
The match served as perfect mirror revenge for the BLAST Bounty Season 2 final, where MOUZ defeated Spirit by the exact same 3-1 scoreline a month earlier.
According to esports analytics site HLTV.org, AWPer Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov was the most impactful player of the final, posting 70 kills against 42 deaths for a 1.36 rating. Rifler Danil “donk” Kryshkovets added 73 frags with a 1.28 rating, while tN1R and zont1x also wrapped up the series with solid positive stats.
Quarter of a Million Dollars and the World No. 1 Spot
For their first-place finish in Portugal, Spirit earned $150,000 in direct prize money plus an additional $100,000 in club share revenue, taking home $250,000 from BLAST’s total $1.1 million prize pool.
The Porto victory solidifies Team Spirit’s position atop the global HLTV team rankings, extending the roster’s win streak to ten consecutive matches. Coming on the heels of their PGL Astana gold and Esports World Cup 2026 title, the squad enters the fall season as the undisputed top team in the world. Next on the calendar for the roster is ESL Pro League Season 24, scheduled for October.
