StarLadder StarSeries Season 20 CS2 Milestone Event: Format, Schedule, and $500,000 Prize Pool

Barcelona will host the StarLadder StarSeries Season 20 CS2 LAN tournament from September 17 to 20. Eight teams will compete for a share of the $500,000 prize pool. This marks the second tournament of the series since its relaunch, with organizers adjusting the calendar schedule and designating the autumn event in Spain as the landmark 20th season.

Double-Elimination Bracket and Team Lineup

The tournament will feature a classic double-elimination format, where an opening-round loss does not result in elimination, but moves a team to the lower bracket. All matches will be best-of-three series, except for the grand final on September 20, which will be decided in a best-of-five matchup.

As confirmed on the event page on HLTV.org, the competitive map pool features Cache, Dust2, Mirage, Inferno, Nuke, Ancient, and Anubis.

Four invited teams and four qualifier winners will compete for the trophy:

• Direct invites based on the Valve standings went to Team Vitality, MOUZ, Natus Vincere, and FURIA Esports;
• Aurora Gaming and magic advanced through the European qualifier;
• MIBR and NRG won the Americas qualifiers.

Opening Matchups and Prize Money Breakdown

Matches kick off on September 17 with upper bracket action. Teams will face off in the following matchups:

• MOUZ vs. NRG
• Team Vitality vs. magic
• Natus Vincere vs. Aurora Gaming
• FURIA vs. MIBR

Upper bracket semifinals will take place on September 18, followed by lower bracket elimination matches on September 19. The consolidation final and grand final will be held on September 20. A detailed hourly schedule automatically adjusted to local time is available in the HLTV match center.

According to StarLadder’s official announcement, the $500,000 prize pool is split equally between players and organizations (club share). The tournament winner will claim a total of $200,000 ($100,000 for the five players and $100,000 for the organization), the runner-up will receive $130,000, while third and fourth place will take home $70,000 and $40,000, respectively.
