Logitech Unveils Yeti 2: The Iconic USB Mic Gets a 3D Voice Sensor, a Color Display and Built-In AI

On September 23, 2026, at its Logitech G PLAY 2026 showcase, Logitech officially introduced the Yeti 2 — a new generation of the most recognizable USB microphone for streamers, bloggers and podcasters. The device keeps the familiar bulky retro silhouette of the original Blue Yeti, but gets completely redesigned circuitry and a powerful automatic audio processing block. For content creators, this is a long-awaited upgrade: while the classic model was known for excessive sensitivity that picked up any stray noise in an untreated room, the new version solves those problems at the level of its built-in microprocessor.

The headline technical addition is the Voice Proximity Sensor. The system tracks the speaker’s head position in 3D in real time and continuously adjusts gain, EQ and pickup pattern focus. A streamer can lean back in a chair or turn to the side, and the microphone automatically compensates for the change in volume and timbre without third-party plugins.

Onboard Keyboard Filtering and Blue VO!CE Algorithms

Keeping the audio stream clean is the job of a built-in neural AI De-noiser module. Unlike software filters that run on a PC, the algorithm is baked directly into the device’s memory — the microphone cuts out mechanical keyboard sounds, mouse clicks, system unit fan noise and background notifications on its own before the signal ever reaches the operating system.

The signal chain is built around the Blue VO!CE DSP. It includes ready-made EQ and compression presets, according to the Japanese publication Game Watch. You can switch the main sound modes with physical buttons right on the body, while deeper fine-tuning of parameters is available through Logitech’s G HUB utility.

A Color Display and Studio-Grade Specs

The front panel now features a 1.3-inch color LED display controlled by a multifunction rotary encoder knob. The screen shows input level, the active preset and the current pickup pattern, and through the app users can upload their own pixel avatar, the official Logitech G press release says.

It connects over a modern USB-C interface with no need for audio interfaces or phantom power. The signal chain digitizes audio at 24-bit / 48 kHz, the frequency range spans 20 Hz to 20 kHz, maximum sound pressure reaches 129 dB SPL, and the signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 77 dB.

The microphone comes in matte black and white finishes. The new model has already appeared in the official Logitech G store catalog, where its Canadian retail price is set at CAD 199.99.
