Family Guy Goes to Hell — Trailer Drops for Halloween Special with Kieran Culkin as the Devil

Hulu has released the trailer for a new special, Family Guy: Happy Hell-O-Ween, which premieres October 5, 2026. The story centers on Brian and Stewie, who end up in hell after a ridiculous car accident and unexpectedly become its new managers.

In the plot, the characters head to a Halloween masquerade, but a car hits them on the way. In the underworld, it turns out that over 24 seasons of questionable behavior, Brian and Stewie have racked up enough reasons to be punished.

But the duo quickly starts to annoy even the Devil himself. He eventually quits his post, and control of hell passes to the new “managers.”

Stewie Makes Torture Optional

Judging by the Hulu trailer, Stewie starts reforming the underworld almost immediately. One of the first changes is making torture voluntary.

The clip also features hell’s traditional fiery landscapes, various forms of punishment and even a mariachi band. At one point Peter briefly drops in, explaining his appearance by saying he choked on a piece of candy in the real world.

Happy Hell-O-Ween will continue Family Guy’s traditional format of absurd parody, but this time the entire episode revolves around Brian and Stewie’s afterlife.

Kieran Culkin Voices the Devil

The special’s main guest star is Kieran Culkin, best known for his role as Roman Roy on Succession.

His involvement was announced back in the summer at the Family Guy panel during San Diego Comic-Con. Culkin voices the Devil himself, who first tries to deal with hell’s new residents and then decides it’s easier to quit his job.

Happy Hell-O-Ween will be another Family Guy holiday special for Hulu. In recent years, the service has released standalone Halloween and Christmas episodes outside the usual TV season structure.

The series itself continues its main storyline: the fully completed season 24 of Family Guy is already available on Hulu.
