Lucasfilm Announces LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian Animated Special

Lucasfilm has released a trailer for the animated comedy special LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian. The project will reimagining key events from the three seasons of the space Western starring Din Djarin and Grogu in LEGO style, premiering September 2 on Disney+.
The animated feature’s plot centers on a festive reunion between the Mandalorian, Grogu, and their allies as they reflect on past adventures until a new threat from space pirates emerges on the horizon. Rendered in LEGO animation, the special will highlight iconic moments from the series, including Din Djarin’s first encounter with Grogu.
Creators and Cast
The project is directed by Chris Buckley. Original series cast members return to voice their characters:
- Rosario Dawson: Ahsoka Tano;
- Katee Sackhoff: Bo-Katan Kryze;
- Amy Sedaris: Peli Motto;
- Bill Burr: Migs Mayfeld.
An advance screening of the special will take place on August 15 at the D23 expo, with the release on Disney+ set for September 2, 2026.
