XRP has stabilized around $1.06, holding the psychologically important $1 support level following a prolonged decline from its January high of around $3.40. Market participants are focusing on an upcoming August 19 meeting between Ripple executives and US government officials at the White House.

The token’s price remains under pressure from a slowdown in institutional investor activity: weekly net capital inflows into US exchange-traded funds (XRP ETFs) dropped 93% to $1.01 million.

White House Summit and Regulatory Questions

According to CoinDesk, executives from Ripple and other key representatives of the blockchain industry will hold a meeting at the White House on August 19. The main topic of discussion will be developing legislative initiatives to regulate the crypto market and establishing clear rules for digital asset issuers in the US.

As reported by crypto.news, dialogue with regulators could prove to be a key catalyst for the token’s future price movement.

European Expansion and MiCA Licensing

While the token’s market metrics remain under pressure, Ripple’s corporate business continues its international expansion. According to Ripple’s press service, the fintech company received full authorization under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation on August 3, opening the door for the legal deployment of its payment and cryptocurrency services across the European Union.
