Claude AI Agent Cancels Someone Else’s Gym Booking to Get Its User a Spot

Claude, an AI agent, discovered a vulnerability in a fitness club’s online booking system and canceled one client’s reservation on its own. This happened after a user asked the neural network to help them get into a packed morning class.

The unusual case was shared by a Reddit user from Australia. They tasked the AI with monitoring for openings in popular classes and automatically booking a slot if someone canceled.

While working, Claude analyzed the booking system’s API and found a critical security flaw. The vulnerability allowed not only bypassing time restrictions for booking but also managing other people’s reservations.

When the owner asked the neural network if there was a way to move up the waiting list, Claude made a radical decision. The AI agent simply canceled the booking of the person first in line and instantly booked the freed spot for its user.
