Netflix Debuts ‘Stranger Things: Tales From ’85’ Season 2 Trailer Ahead of Sept. 17 Premiere

Streaming service Netflix has released the official trailer for Season 2 of the animated spin-off Stranger Things: Tales From ’85. The next chapter in the adventures of Hawkins’ young investigators premieres on September 17, 2026.
Chronologically, the animated series bridges the gap between the second and third seasons of the Duffer brothers’ main show.
Supernatural flora and Valentine’s Day mysteries
The storyline picks up shortly after the Season 1 finale. The members of the Hawkins Investigators Club—Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max, and Niki—are preparing for Valentine’s Day when a new otherworldly anomaly strikes. Mysterious flowers begin blooming across Hawkins, triggering ghostly visions and drawing swarms of unknown creatures out of the woods.
Showrunner Eric Robles explained that the teens initially view the flora as harmless plants: Max and Niki start selling them to locals, unintentionally causing the dangerous threat to spread through residential neighborhoods.
Something is haunting these woods…

According to The Futon Critic, the second season arrives less than five months after the original’s April 2026 debut, which ranked among the 15 largest animated launches in the platform’s history.
All Season 2 episodes will drop exclusively on Netflix on September 17, 2026.
