PUBG May Add Jujutsu Kaisen Collab: Leak Reveals Gojo, Itadori Skins and Upgradeable Weapons

Files for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS contain traces of a major crossover with the popular anime Jujutsu Kaisen. According to dataminers and insiders, the PC and console versions of the battle royale will add iconic characters, a themed Crafter Pass, and four progressive skins, including an upgradeable frying pan.

Four Sorcerers and Game File Leaks

Dataminers first found mentions of the collaboration: the latest update’s code contains strings for cosmetic items tied to Suguru Geto. Insiders later revealed the event’s key characters:

• Satoru Gojo;
• Yuji Itadori;
• Megumi Fushiguro;
• Nobara Kugisaki.

While this quartet of sorcerers previously appeared in the mobile PUBG Mobile, this will be the first full-fledged crossover with the franchise for the flagship PC and console version. Krafton, the developer, explicitly promised in its official 2026 roadmap to focus on deep integrations with popular animation brands.

Four Progressive Skins and a Battle Pass

One of the event’s main features will be an unusually large set of upgradeable (Progressive) weapons. According to preliminary data, the system for gradually upgrading visual effects with resources will apply to four items:

• the M24 sniper rifle with a unique finisher effect;
• the Beryl M762 assault rifle with dynamic visuals;
• the VSS rifle (potentially the first progressive skin in that model’s history);
• the legendary frying pan, which could become the game’s first upgradeable melee weapon.

The event will center on the Crafter Pass, priced at approximately $11.99. As players level up, they’ll earn tokens for the Special Crafting section, unlocking themed helmets, UAZ skins, parachutes, emotes, pets, and lobby decorations.

Mobile Version Experience and Possible Mechanics

In the 2022 mobile event, the integration involved searching for cursed artifacts and Sukuna’s fingers across Erangel and Livik. Whether similar interactive objects will appear in the main PC and console version remains unconfirmed.

Expected Release Dates

According to leaks, the collaboration is slated to start September 10, 2026, on PC and September 17 on consoles.

These dates align perfectly with the official content rotation schedule: the August PUBG store announcement states that the current seasonal Survivor Pass and partner bundles end sales on September 9–10 on PC and September 17 on consoles. Krafton hasn’t officially announced the crossover yet, so the final lineup of bundles may be adjusted by the patch’s release.
