Konami to Host 30-Minute Showcase on September 3 Featuring Silent Hill: Townfall, New Castlevania, and Rev. NOiR

Japanese publisher Konami has officially announced its own digital showcase titled KONAMI PRESS START. The half-hour livestream will kick off on September 3, 2026, at 6:00 PM Kyiv time and will focus on the company’s key upcoming titles: psychological horror game Silent Hill: Townfall, 2D action game Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, and the original RPG Rev. NOiR.

First Detailed Look at Rev. NOiR Seven Months After Announcement

The main attraction of the show will be a gameplay reveal for Rev. NOiR, which Konami announced back in February during PlayStation’s State of Play. It is a brand-new IP for the publisher, unrelated to its classic franchises.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world suffering from a deadly natural anomaly known as the “falling light” (light fall), the game follows a lonely young man with amnesia who sets out with a mysterious companion on a dangerous journey to save a fading civilization. Following more than six months of silence, the developers will showcase extended gameplay footage and detail the combat system for the first time.

Pre-Release Look at Silent Hill: Townfall

The stream’s second major project is Silent Hill: Townfall, scheduled to launch on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

According to Konami’s official website, the title is a full mainline chapter in the iconic first-person psychological horror series. Scottish studio Screen Burn is developing the game in partnership with Annapurna Interactive, with the story set on the isolated island of Saint Amelia. The presentation will serve as the final gameplay showcase before the game hits store shelves. Total sales for the Silent Hill franchise topped 17.1 million copies by spring 2026.

Gothic Action Game Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Ahead of October Launch

Viewers will also get a look at new gameplay mechanics for the 2D Metroidvania Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, which releases on October 15.

According to the Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse website, the game is co-developed with Evil Empire (co-creators of Dead Cells):

• the events take place in 1499 (23 years after the ending of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse);
• the main protagonist is Rose Belmont, daughter of the legendary Trevor Belmont, fighting through a burning Paris and Castle Dracula;
• the game will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch, targeting 60 FPS on higher-end platforms.

No First Silent Hill Remake and Event Schedule

In the official announcement for KONAMI PRESS START, the company warned fans in advance: there will be no news regarding a potential remake of the original Silent Hill during the event.

The stream will run for about 30 minutes and will be available on YouTube (with subtitles in 12 languages), Twitch, and X.

The evening of September 3 promises a dense lineup of news: just two hours before Konami’s showcase (at 4:00 PM Kyiv time), Sony will stream a double episode of its State of Play presentation, ensuring a flurry of major trailers for the gaming community.
