Rockstar Announces Official GTA VI Album Featuring 34 New Songs

The mysterious social media flash mob by artists around the world now has an official explanation. Rockstar Games, together with Atlantic Records, has announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album — a sprawling collection of 34 original tracks written specifically for the atmosphere of the state of Leonida. The album arrives the same day as the game, November 19, 2026, and the first six tracks are already available on streaming services.

The First Six Singles and a Daft Punk Producer

The recent artwork posts from Travis Scott, Future and The Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards turned out to be a coordinated promo campaign for the upcoming soundtrack. Alongside the announcement, the artists released the opening six tracks:

  • Travis Scott — RHYNO: the track was produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, co-founder of the now-defunct electronic duo Daft Punk;
  • Yung Lean — That’s It: a collaboration between the Swedish cloud rapper, Future and producer Metro Boomin;
  • CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy — Sexy Magic: an experimental collaboration blending Latin urban pop and the British club scene;
  • Keith Richards — Bright Lights, Big City: old-school blues rock from the legendary guitarist;
  • Debut singles from country artist Morgan Wallen (Last Thing You Need) and Puerto Rican artist Rauw Alejandro (Macacoa 2000).

As Pitchfork notes, the genre spread highlights the contrast between neon-soaked Vice City and the swampy American backwoods.

The remaining 28 tracks will be revealed closer to release. The collection doesn’t cover all of the game’s music, though: the GTA VI music promo page notes that the developers will share details separately about the open world’s dynamic ambience and the programming on the in-game radio stations.

Vinyl With Liquid Inside and a November 19 Release

Premium merch is on the way for physical media fans. The European GTA VI album store now lists standard CDs at €16.99 and vinyl records at €51.99.

The standout rarity of the lineup is a limited edition priced at €123.99: clear purple records filled with moving blue liquid that creates the visual effect of ocean surf as they spin on a turntable. The first batch sold out within hours of preorders opening.

A post on the Rockstar Newswire highlights a step forward for the media franchise: instead of the usual licensing of old hits, the studio financed an original album by top-tier stars. Grand Theft Auto VI itself launches November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
