Five Nights at Freddy’s Is Officially Coming to Fortnite on October 1

Epic Games has officially confirmed the Fortnite × Five Nights at Freddy’s collaboration. The crossover launches October 1, 2026, alongside the Fortnitemares Halloween event.

Before the official announcement, the two franchises had been showing up in dataminer leaks for weeks. Now Epic has released a full teaser showing characters, cosmetic items and themed gameplay elements.

Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy Are Getting Their Own Skins

Four classic animatronics from the original Five Nights at Freddy’s are coming to Fortnite:

• Freddy Fazbear;
• Bonnie;
• Chica;
• Foxy.

According to Esports.gg, all four skins also have alternate Withered-style variants.

The video also shows additional cosmetics, including themed back blings, Mr. Cupcake and other items tied to FNaF characters. Epic Games has not yet revealed the full contents of the bundles or their prices.

Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Is Coming to the Map

The collaboration won’t be limited to store skins. A location already under construction on the island is set to become Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.

The teaser shows security cameras, animatronics and scenes of players being chased, clearly referencing the mechanics of the original Five Nights at Freddy’s. It also demonstrates the ability to take control of one of the animatronics and hunt other players.

Still, it’s too early to say Epic is preparing a full-fledged FNaF mode of its own.

As VICE notes, Epic Games has not officially announced a standalone game mode or explained its rules. The scenes shown could belong to a limited-time activity within Battle Royale, to features of the new point of interest, or simply to a demo video.

So for now, Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza itself and the themed gameplay elements are confirmed — but not a separate mode in the usual sense.

The Collaboration Will Be Part of Fortnitemares 2026

Five Nights at Freddy’s joins Fortnite alongside the start of Fortnitemares 2026. The annual Halloween event traditionally adds limited-time mechanics, map changes and crossovers with horror franchises.

In FNaF’s case, the date is already confirmed: the content arrives October 1. Epic Games is expected to reveal later exactly when individual skins hit the store, how much the bundles cost and the full list of themed items.
