Unique Carbon and 630 HP: Alfa Romeo Unveils One-of-a-Kind 33 Stradale Perla Nera Supercar

Italian marque Alfa Romeo has unveiled an exclusive variant of its limited-run 33 Stradale supercar. Named Perla Nera (“Black Pearl”), the new car features a fully exposed body made of matte carbon fiber. It was built as a one-off commission for an anonymous collector who personally oversaw every stage of development and officially registered the project’s name.

For the ultra-exclusive car industry, skipping paint is a serious engineering challenge. To make a body without a paint finish look good, Alfa Romeo engineers had to develop a special carbon fiber layup pattern. The weave lines up perfectly at the edges of the body panels, emphasizing the car’s strict symmetry. According to an official Stellantis press release, the Perla Nera is the only car in the entire series with this kind of exterior finish.

A Tailored Suit and Hidden Easter Eggs

The personalization continues inside. The cabin is trimmed in black Alcantara with matte carbon fiber inserts, and engineers designed and molded the driver’s seat profile specifically around the owner’s anatomy and build after a series of “fittings.”

The customer also asked for the storage layout inside the tight cockpit to be redesigned and commissioned a set of exclusive travel bags bearing his chassis number. The rotary drive mode selector is engraved with the owner’s initials, while the historic badges of the Quadrifoglio and Autodelta racing divisions are deliberately hidden in the cabin’s blind spots — you can only see them once you’re seated inside.

A 630-HP V6 and a Museum Display

Mechanically, the “Black Pearl” is based on the standard architecture of the revived 33 Stradale. A 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine sits behind the seats within the wheelbase. Notably, in its latest specs the company officially lists output at more than 630 horsepower, though the figure of 620 hp appeared in the model’s early announcements.

The engine is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch (DCT) transmission, sending all drive to the rear axle. The supercar tops out at 333 km/h and sprints from a standstill to 100 km/h in under three seconds.

Production of the 33 Stradale is capped at 33 units, and collectors bought every one of them long before series production began. Before the Perla Nera heads to a private garage, the one-of-a-kind carbon supercar will be displayed to the public at the Alfa Romeo museum in Arese, Italy, through October 18, 2026.
