100-Player Tactical Shooter WARDOGS Hits 1 Million Steam Wishlists Ahead of Sept. 10 Launch

British studio BULKHEAD has announced that its large-scale military shooter WARDOGS has passed the 1 million Steam wishlists milestone. The game enters Early Access on September 10, 2026, featuring massive 100-player battles between three armies complete with armored vehicles, base building, and destructible environments.
The developers emphasize that the project is not a battle royale or an extraction shooter, but rather builds on the classic concept of All-Out Warfare attrition battles.
Three-Army Battles Across a 256-Square-Kilometer Map
According to publisher Team17, matches revolve around a modified control point mode. In each round, three opposing factions engage in continuous combat for an active 2 × 2 km control zone randomly selected within a massive map spanning up to 256 square kilometers. The first side to reach 100 control points wins.
The control zone changes position from match to match, forcing players to build new supply chains and fortifications.
Meta-Economy, Logistics, and Destruction
Unlike arcade shooters, players in WARDOGS can aid their team without firing a single shot: in-game currency is awarded for healing allies, evacuating the wounded, delivering ammunition via helicopters, and holding positions.
Every player starts with a base balance of $10,000, and earned cash carries over between matches to buy heavy vehicles and custom loadouts.
Players can completely level residential buildings and structures using rocket launchers or artillery tanks, as well as construct their own Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) with fortified firing points.
According to PC Gamer, the shooter features proximity voice chat, allowing players to communicate with allies and overhear nearby enemies.
This weekend's Closed Beta is over. Thank you.

Early Access Roadmap and System Requirements
The studio plans to keep the game in Steam Early Access for one to two years, adding jet aircraft, new maps, and additional vehicle types ahead of the full release.
During Early Access, the game will cost $39.99 for the Standard Edition and $49.99 for the Supporter Edition. The developers guarantee that there will be no paid in-game currency or microtransactions during Early Access.
To run the game at 1080p and 60 FPS on low graphics settings, players will need a PC with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 590 graphics card, an Intel Core i5-8600 processor, and 16GB of RAM. The game requires about 40GB of storage space.
