Paramount+ has released the full trailer for Season 2 of ‘Dexter: Resurrection’. Michael C. Hall returns as Dexter Morgan, who this time finds himself caught between two serial killers with completely different methods and pasts.

Season 2 premieres October 30, 2026 on Paramount+ Premium. The service dropped a short teaser back on September 8, making this the season’s first full trailer.

Paramount revealed details about the new season in an official announcement.

Brian Cox and Dan Stevens Will Play the New Killers

Dexter’s main adversary will be the New York Ripper, played by Brian Cox. He’s a criminal with a long history who has already stopped killing but continues to psychologically manipulate the people who survived encounters with him.

The second killer will be played by Dan Stevens. His character, nicknamed the Five Borough Killer, terrorizes New York by making threatening phone calls to random people.

According to the official synopsis, Dexter will find himself between these two criminals while also dealing with the aftermath of Season 1.

The creators have also given the character a less familiar problem — a midlife crisis. Dexter begins to feel the effects of his years and faces the fact that his old methods no longer always work as easily.

His son Harrison, played once again by Jack Alcott, meanwhile continues his own path in search of justice.

Uma Thurman and Kristen Ritter Return

Uma Thurman, Jack Alcott, James Remar and Desmond Harrington are all returning to their roles.

Brian Cox, Dan Stevens, Bokeem Woodbine and Nona Parker Johnson are set to join as new series regulars this season.

Kristen Ritter also returns as Mia Lapierre, known as Lady Vengeance, while Gabriel Luna will appear as a guest star.

Paramount+ published the full Season 2 cast on a dedicated page for the show.

Clyde Phillips, who worked on the original ‘Dexter’ and Season 1 of ‘Resurrection,’ returns as showrunner and executive producer.

The Trailer Arrives Exactly 20 Years After ‘Dexter’ Premiered

The trailer’s release date is symbolic. October 1, 2026, marked exactly 20 years since the original ‘Dexter’ premiered on Showtime.

Since then, the franchise has grown to include several shows: the original ‘Dexter,’ Dexter: New Blood, Dexter: Original Sin and the current Dexter: Resurrection.

Season 1 of ‘Resurrection’ consists of ten episodes and is already available in full on Paramount+. Season 2 premieres October 30.
