Warner Bros. Hogwarts Legacy: Unreal Engine 5, Quidditch and Co-op

Warner Bros. Discovery, in an official letter to shareholders, confirmed the development of the Hogwarts Legacy sequel. According to the data DexertoThe continuation of the project from the studio Avalanche Software is being developed on the Unreal Engine 5 and will receive a number of new gameplay mechanics.
The transition to Unreal Engine 5 will enable Nanite technology to provide high-detailed Hogwarts and Lumen architecture for dynamic real-time illumination, where lights from spells like Lumos or Insendio are realistically reflected from armor and stone walls.
Gameplay Innovation: Quidditch, Reputation and Co-op
The second part will offer a large-scale expansion of gaming capabilities:
- Reputation system and Faculty points: The actions of the player affect the reactions of students and teachers. Night walks through the Forbidden Section of the Library or the use of Dark Magic will lead to a write-off and risk losing the School Cup.
- In-game Quidditch: the sequel introduces a full-fledged sports discipline with the choice of a position in the team (catcher, racer, hunter or goalkeeper), updated flight physics and customization of blizzards;
- Seamless cooperative: You can pass the plot dungeons, combine spells in duels and explore the map in a detachment of 2 to 4 people.
Map extension and plot
The map of the game will extend beyond the vicinity of Hogwarts and Hogsmead. The project will add Spicy Lane as a key trading hub for the customization of mantles, the purchase of ingredients and sticks, as well as a multi-level building of the Ministry of Magic.
The plot will unfold immediately after the events of the first part: the main character will return to the school of sorcery and magic for the sixth year of study. This will allow players to save previously learned spells from the very beginning of the passage and move on to mastering more complex and dangerous magic.
