HBO Wraps Filming on Season 2 of ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’

HBO has wrapped filming on the second season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the Game of Thrones prequel series based on the works of George R. R. Martin. The premiere of the continuing adventures of hedge knight Duncan and his squire Egg is scheduled for early 2027.
The plot of the second season picks up some time after the events of the first part and adapts the novella The Sworn Sword. Duncan enters the service of the impoverished knight Eustace Osgrey and becomes entangled in a land and water dispute with Lady Rohanne Webber.
The central theme of the season will be a devastating drought sweeping across the lands of Westeros. To create an authentic atmosphere of scorched fields and water scarcity, the HBO film crew conducted extensive location shooting in dry provinces of Spain.
The second season is expected to air in early 2027, shortly after the December release of the first season of HBO’s Harry Potter series.
