Rockstar Officially Backs NoPixel V: New Era of GTA V RP Launches September 8

Rockstar Games has officially introduced NoPixel V, a massive reboot of the most popular GTA V roleplay server. Developed by the NoPixel Studios team, the project marks the first time in GTA RP history that a server receives direct technical support and integration into the publisher’s ecosystem.
The closed beta test for NoPixel V begins September 8 exclusively on PC via the Rockstar Games Launcher. Access will initially be limited to invited participants, but streamers will begin broadcasting gameplay live on the same day.
What’s Changing in Los Santos
The creators of NoPixel V have significantly revamped the urban environment and core gameplay mechanics. The project features an in-depth character creator, an overhauled AI system for more reactive NPCs, and an expanded roster of professions—ranging from legal businesses to new criminal syndicates.
Additionally, the developers updated the map by adding dozens of detailed interiors, rebuilding a six-block area of Cypress Flats, and opening the Pixel Hotel & Casino complex. As noted in the Rockstar Games announcement, regular content updates, a dedicated PC in-game overlay, and a gradual expansion of access for all players are planned for the server in the future.
Stream Viewing Rewards
To celebrate the launch, the creators launched a joint promotional campaign with Twitch. From September 8 to September 30, viewers watching NoPixel V streams can earn rewards for standard GTA Online. By watching streams with Twitch Drops enabled, players will receive up to GTA$1.5 million in in-game cash and an exclusive Burger Shot tracksuit.
