Marvel Studios has released the second official trailer for the comic book film “Avengers: Doomsday.” According to Entertainment Weekly, the trailer focuses on the key antagonist Victor von Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. The film’s world premiere is set for December 18.
The trailer shows the villain confronting Reed Richards against the backdrop of a destroyed city, where Doom tells the superheroes they have lived “stolen lives.”
The video also features Steve Rogers, Thor with his adopted daughter Love, Loki, and classic X-Men characters — Professor X, Magneto, and Cyclops. In the trailer’s climax, Doctor Doom defeats Thor in battle and unleashes the Sentinels — giant mutant-hunting robots.
