“Seven Shelters”: first teaser for new animated series in the Avatar universe released

The creators of the original Avatar universe, Michael Dante DiMartino and Brian Konietzko, presented the first teaser of their new animation project called The Seven Chambers / Refuges. The show is scheduled to premiere on October 9.

Plot details

The action of the new animated series will unfold after the events of the Legend of Korra. In the center of the story will be twin sisters from the Earth Kingdom, one of whom is destined to become the new Avatar – the next link in the cycle of rebirth.

The world of the franchise has undergone serious changes: as a result of a global cataclysm, the usual civilization was destroyed. The survivors blame Avatar Korru for the disaster. Because of this, an extremely hostile attitude was formed in society both to the Avatar Institute in general and to its new incarnation in particular. The main character will not only master the magic of the elements, but also face public rejection.

Avatar Studios is responsible for the production, and at the helm of the project are the authors of the original series “The Legend of Aang” and “The Legend of Korra” Brian Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino.

Judging by the first teaser and plot, the project will offer viewers a darker and more dramatic atmosphere compared to the previous parts of the franchise. The exact list of platforms, which will be released on October 9, the authors promised to disclose later.
