“The Seven Chambers”: First teaser for new Avatar universe animated series unveiled

Creators of the original Avatar universe, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, have unveiled the first teaser for their new animated project titled “The Seven Chambers” (The Seven Chambers / Refuges). The show is scheduled to premiere on October 9.
Plot details
The new animated series takes place after the events of “The Legend of Korra.” The story centers on twin sisters from the Earth Kingdom, one of whom is destined to become the new Avatar — the next link in the cycle of reincarnation.
The world of the franchise has undergone significant changes: a global cataclysm has destroyed the familiar civilization. The surviving population blames Avatar Korra for the catastrophe. As a result, the society has developed a deeply hostile attitude toward both the institution of the Avatar as a whole and its new incarnation in particular. The protagonist will have to not only master elemental magic but also face public rejection.
Project creators
Production is handled by Avatar Studios, with the project spearheaded by Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino, the creators of the original “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and “The Legend of Korra” series.
Judging by the first teaser and the plot premise, the project will offer viewers a darker and more dramatic atmosphere compared to previous installments of the franchise. The authors promised to reveal the exact list of platforms for the October 9 release at a later date.
