Gartic Phone launches on iOS and Android: mobile features, Crocodile mode and crossplay with PC

Studio Onrizon Officially released a full mobile version of the popular cooperative game Gartic Phone. The developers not only moved the web version to the application shell, but created an adaptive client with exclusive management, voice chat and support for cross-platform games with PC users.

Exclusive functions and adaptive management

The mobile version received touch control and an improved interface designed specifically for drawing on smartphone screens:

• Touch gestures: Implemented scaling pinched (pinch to zoom), movement on the canvas with two fingers, as well as quick cancellation of the action (two tapas) and repetition (three tapas).
• Improved canvas: Added landscape mode (landscape), auxiliary grid and increased brush sizes for accurate finger drawing.
• Quick connection: You can invite friends to the lobby through direct links, QR codes or short room codes.room codes).

Game modes and word sets

Both the classic mechanics of the “broken phone” and alternative formats are available in the application:

• Thematic packages (Word Packs): Ready-made lists of words by category (“Party”, “Animals”, “After Darkness 18+”) or the ability to create your own collections.
• Free mode (Freestyle): Make any secret phrases and in-game memes of your company.
• The crocodile mode (Pictionary Mode): A format in which one participant draws in real time and the rest compete in guessing speed.

Cross-platform and voice communication

• Crossplay: Players from smartphones on iOS and Android can be in the same room with users playing through a browser on a PC.
• Voice chat: The application has an in-game wagon chat for communication during the round without the need to use third-party services.
• Monetization: The game is completely free and contains built-in advertising.
