Mattel has announced the UNO Championship Series 2026, a hybrid tabletop and esports tournament. The winner will earn the championship title, a custom championship belt, and a $50,000 cash prize.

Qualifying rounds will take place both at in-person events and within the UNO! Mobile app.

Qualifiers Schedule and Los Angeles Finals

The mobile qualifier stage will run from August 31 to September 27, 2026. Based on the results of weekly open online competitions, the top four players will receive invitations to the live finals.

Three additional slots will be awarded at regional tournaments in the US:

  • October 3: Kissimmee, Florida;
  • October 10: Chicago, Illinois;
  • October 17: El Segundo, California.

Organizers will select additional international participants via special invitations. The Grand Finals will take place on November 11, 2026, in Los Angeles and will be livestreamed on Twitch.

Tournament Merchandise and Championship Belt

According to Dexerto, the event will feature a professional combat sports-style production, complete with a heavy gold-engraved championship belt for the winner.

Ahead of the tournament, a dedicated line of competitive merchandise appeared on the Mattel Shop. It includes tournament card decks, a branded automatic card shuffler, and an expanded set for hosting local bracket tournaments for up to 30 players.

Mattel has been expanding UNO’s competitive scene since 2021, when its debut tournament in Las Vegas drew over two million players in the mobile app, who played more than 28 million digital matches.
