Pearl Abyss Action RPG Crimson Desert Gets First 20% Discount on PC and Consoles

Studio Pearl Abyss has announced the first sale for its large-scale action RPG Crimson Desert. Five months after launch, the game is available at a 20% discount across all major platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Mac.
The promotion applies to both standard and expanded digital editions and runs through September 9, 2026.
Successful Launch and 6 Million Copies Sold
The game launched on March 19, 2026, becoming the highest-grossing title in the company’s history. It sold over 2 million copies in its first 24 hours, with global sales topping 6 million units within three months. At launch, peak concurrent players on Steam surpassed 240,000.
This initial sale aims to attract new players ahead of the release of major upcoming content.
Plans for Story DLC and Cross-Saves
According to the official Pearl Abyss portal, the team is already working on story expansions (DLC) and technical upgrades.
The list of planned updates includes:
- Refining cutscenes and expanding side quests;
- New combat activities and balancing additional playable characters;
- Deeper crafting, farming, and caravan trading mechanics;
- Implementing seamless cross-platform saves between PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Crimson Desert was developed on the proprietary BlackSpace Engine, which delivers high detail across the seamless open world of Pywel, focusing on dynamic physics-based combat and environmental destruction.
