Samsung Begins Selling Refurbished Galaxy S26 Lineup: Ultra Starts at $1099 with New Battery and Warranty

Samsung has officially added its flagship Galaxy S26 smartphone lineup to its Certified Re-Newed program. The company’s US online store now offers officially refurbished Galaxy S26, S26+, and top-tier S26 Ultra models with discounts of up to $200 off their original retail prices.
How Factory Refurbishment Differs from Used Devices
Devices in the Certified Re-Newed program are not standard used electronics from the secondary market. According to the official announcement on Samsung Newsroom, every returned phone undergoes a comprehensive 147-point quality inspection at the manufacturer’s factories.
The company’s technicians fully replace worn parts with original components and install a brand-new battery. The device comes packaged in a new box with a power cable, and in the US, the smartphone is covered by a full one-year limited manufacturer warranty — identical to that of a brand-new retail unit.
Pricing, Discounts, and Trade-In Program
As part of the program, the refurbished flagships are sold at a noticeable discount:
- Galaxy S26: starting at $759 (about $140 off the original $899.99 price);
- Galaxy S26+: starting at $929 (around $170 cheaper than new);
- Galaxy S26 Ultra: starting at $1099 ($200 off the base $1299.99 price).
All three models are available in six colors: White, Sky Blue, Pink Gold, Black, Silver Shadow, and Cobalt Violet. The refurbished line is sold exclusively through the company’s official website, where trading in an old smartphone can net an additional discount of up to $720.
As noted by tech publication 9to5Google, the availability of specific configurations depends on stock: at launch, the S26+ variant sold out faster than the others, temporarily disabling the order button.
The Certified Re-Newed program is gradually becoming a key customer retention tool. Samsung previously expanded official refurbishment to the UK, France, and Germany, offering an alternative for buyers seeking a current flagship with a warranty who prefer not to pay full price for a brand-new device at launch.
