Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S26 FE sub-flagship smartphone. The model features a 3-nanometer Exynos 2500 processor, a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 4,900mAh battery, and long-term software support for seven years.

Retail sales of the device will begin on September 4.

Flagship 3nm Processor and Display

The main technical upgrade is the transition to the 10-core Exynos 2500 processor, manufactured using a 3nm process. All configurations come with 8GB of RAM, with storage options available in 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB.

The new model features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Full HD+ resolution, a 60–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 1,900 nits. The 7.4mm thick body is protected by an aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass Victus+, and is IP68-certified for dust and water resistance.

Cameras with OIS and New AI Modes

The camera setup remains consistent with the previous generation:

  • A 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS);
  • An 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS;
  • A 12MP ultra-wide module without stabilization;
  • A 12MP front-facing camera.

According to The Verge, the focus is on algorithmic image processing and new shooting modes. The smartphone features My FanCam to keep a subject centered in the frame, a Horizontal Lock stabilization system to level the horizon during camera shake, and an Audio Eraser tool to remove wind noise from videos. Galaxy AI platform tools are also integrated into the firmware.

45W Charging and Long-Term Support

The battery capacity is 4,900mAh. Notably, the FE model supports 45W wired charging, outperforming the base Galaxy S26, which is limited to 25W. Wireless charging operates at 15W.

According to Android Authority, the smartphone launches with Android 17 and One UI 9. Samsung guarantees seven major Android updates and seven years of security patches.

US pricing is set at $699.99 for the 8/128GB version and $799.99 for the 8/256GB version, available in Graphite, Blueberry, and Pistachio colorways.
