POCO Unveils Flagship F9 Ultra and F9 Pro With 185Hz Displays, Bose Audio, and Up to 8,050mAh Batteries

POCO has officially announced its flagship F9 lineup, noticeably raising the specs bar for its devices. The new F9 Ultra and F9 Pro feature top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chips, ultra-smooth 185Hz AMOLED displays, 200MP main cameras, and audio tuned in partnership with Bose. Global sales are already underway.
POCO F9 Ultra: Built-In Subwoofer and Record-Breaking Battery Life
The top-tier model targets maximum performance. Inside, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor works alongside a dedicated VisionBoost D8 graphics chip. As the manufacturer notes on the official POCO F9 Series page, the smartphone scores around 4.16 million points in AnTuTu and can sustain up to 185 frames per second in optimized games.
A key highlight of the F9 Ultra is its 8,050mAh silicon-carbon battery. Engineers managed to maintain fast charging speeds: 100W wired and 50W wireless.
The camera setup includes three modules:
- 200MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS);
- 50MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom and OIS;
- 50MP ultrawide lens.

According to The Verge, engineers also implemented an unusual 2.1 Sound by Bose audio system, adding a built-in micro-subwoofer surrounded by a ring LED notification light to the traditional stereo speakers.
POCO F9 Pro: Smaller Form Factor and Glow-in-the-Dark Body
The smaller F9 Pro features a 6.59-inch display while keeping the flagship 185Hz panel. It runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V series chip and packs a 6,330mAh battery with the same 100W wired and 50W wireless charging speeds.
The camera setup is slightly simpler here: the main module retains 200MP resolution and OIS, the periscope is replaced with a 50MP 2.5x telephoto camera, and the ultrawide camera is stepped down to 8MP. Both models feature the same 32MP selfie camera.

In the Aurora Green colorway, the back panel of the F9 Pro uses a phosphorescent material that softly glows in the dark for a period after light exposure.
Pricing and Availability
In European retail, MSRP starts at €1,099 for the F9 Ultra and €899 for the F9 Pro.
However, launch promo discounts are active in official online stores. According to ITC, coupons lower the base F9 Pro to $619, while the F9 Ultra starts at $699 (with the 16/512GB model priced at around $789).
