Colgate Launches Harry Potter Sorting Hat Toothpaste

Colgate has unveiled a themed Harry Potter Sorting Hat Toothpaste line inspired by the Hogwarts house sorting ceremony. The new product pairs interactive surprise packaging with a formula infused with cooling crystals. The Philippines is the first market to get the release.
Hidden House Inside the Box and Mint Strips
The packaging itself is the product’s standout feature: shoppers pick up an ordinary-looking box, but opening it reveals the crest and color of one of the four houses—Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff—printed on the inside cardboard. In this way, the box acts as the Sorting Hat, randomly sorting the owner into a house.
The paste features a gel texture infused with Sorting Hat Cooling Strips. According to the Colgate Philippines product catalog, the refreshing crystals provide a minty effect that lasts up to ten times longer than the brand’s standard lineups.
Online jokes about “real hat fragments” mixed into the tube are just that: this is a standard fluoride toothpaste designed to protect enamel against cavities and remove plaque, aimed at an adult audience of Wizarding World fans.
Pricing and Regional Sets
On the official Colgate-Palmolive store on Shopee, a 100-gram tube costs 299 Philippine pesos (around $4.80 at the current exchange rate). The company has also prepared two- and four-tube gift sets for shoppers who want a guaranteed full collection of all four crests.
The Warner Bros. partnership is global in scale: European markets previously received the Bubbling Cauldron children’s toothpaste series, which changes foam color during brushing. The company has not yet announced plans to bring the Sorting Hat version to Europe.
