Disney Debuts First Official Clip From Animated Film ‘Hexed’ Ahead of November Premiere

Walt Disney Animation Studios has released the first official standalone clip from its animated film ‘Hexed’, which premieres on November 25, 2026.
In the 36-second scene, the protagonist Billie tries to use her newly discovered magical abilities to cross a swamp. She creates a chain of green platforms, but the spell quickly spirals out of control: the platforms turn into eyes and then merge into a large many-eyed creature.
The episode shows that Billie is still learning to control her magic, and the film itself will blend fantasy, comedy and a coming-of-age story.
Billie Will Enter a Vast World of Witches
According to Disney’s official description, Billie is an impulsive teenage girl who unexpectedly discovers she has magical abilities.
She then leaves her familiar suburb and finds herself in Hexe, a vast world of witches. Together with her cautious mother Alice, the heroine begins to unravel family secrets that could affect the entire magical world.
Billie is voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, and her mother Alice by Rashida Jones. The cast also includes Tracey Ullman and Stephen Fry.
The directors are Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, with Josie Trinidad as co-director.

Footage From ‘Hexed’ Was Already Shown in the Summer
The new video is the first officially released standalone clip available to a wide audience.
Footage from the film had been shown before, however. In June, Disney presented several scenes to attendees of the Annecy animation festival. The company called that presentation the first public showing of individual episodes of ‘Hexed’.
Disney has now moved into a full promotional campaign ahead of the release: the film already has an official synopsis, its main cast, a trailer and the first released clip with a finished scene.
‘Hexed’ will open in theaters on November 25, 2026. The exact release date may vary by country.
