Dyson Unveils HushJet Big+Quiet Air Purifier: 1,200 m³/h Airflow and 20-Meter Throw

British company Dyson has announced its flagship air purifier for large spaces — the HushJet Big+Quiet Cool Pure+ Formaldehyde. The main engineering achievement of the new model is a massive boost in performance: the device moves up to 334 liters of air per second (about 1,200 m³/h), nearly four times the output of previous-generation units.

According to the Dyson Unveiled 2026 presentation, the new aerodynamic system can create a directed airflow and project purified air up to 20 meters away. This allows a single unit to serve spacious lobbies, open-plan offices, and adjoining rooms without needing to place climate control devices in every corner.

Quiet operation and filtration down to 0.01 microns

The multi-layer filter block captures 99.999% of microparticles as small as 0.01 microns, including fine dust, pollen, bacteria, and allergens. The gas filter absorbs unpleasant odors and volatile organic compounds, while the proprietary catalytic filter breaks down hazardous formaldehyde at the molecular level into water and carbon dioxide, without needing replacement.

Despite the industrial airflow volume, the device operates very quietly. The proprietary HushJet Silencer dampens acoustic air turbulence, reducing noise levels to 24 dB in night mode.

Three models for different needs

Alongside the flagship giant, the manufacturer introduced two more devices in the lineup to cover other user needs: The same wave of Dyson’s fall launches also includes the CameraJet toothbrush with a camera and AI, which brings the company’s sensor-heavy, algorithm-driven appliance strategy into dental care.

  • HushJet Cool Pure+ Formaldehyde — a compact purifier-fan for bedrooms and studies;
  • HushJet Hot Cool Pure+ — a versatile 3-in-1 climate solution with purification, cooling, and heating functions;
  • HushJet Big+Quiet — the top-end version for large areas.

According to Vacuum Wars, global sales of the devices are slated for fall 2026. In the US, the flagship Big+Quiet model will cost around $1,099, while the more compact Cool+ and Hot Cool+ versions are priced at approximately $599.
