Fan Brings Cyberpunk 2077 Mechanics to Minecraft: Implants, Cars and a Fight with Adam Smasher

A user-made modpack called The Cyberpunk 2077 Experience has appeared on CurseForge, turning vanilla Minecraft into a cyberpunk action RPG. An enthusiast going by the handle Jafi209 has combined dozens of themed mods to recreate the atmosphere and core mechanics of CD Projekt RED’s hit inside the blocky sandbox. The project is not an official crossover between the studios, but it clearly shows what modern modding can do: players can install augmentations, drive cars and fight familiar bosses.
The core of the pack, which runs on Minecraft 1.20.1 and the Forge platform, is the global Project Edgerunners mod. It adds ripperdoc mechanics and iconic cyberware, including the reflex-boosting Sandevistan and the strength-enhancing Gorilla Arms. The firearms arsenal is handled by several weapon packs at once (TaCZ, Vic’s Point Blank and Cyberpunk 2077 Gun Pack), and players can travel between locations in futuristic vehicles thanks to the Immersive Vehicles mod.
Night City Has to Be Downloaded Separately

New cyberpunk-style enemies have been integrated into the game, and Adam Smasher has been given the role of one of the main bosses. However, players should keep in mind the specifics of the pack: the modpack does not include a ready-made copy of Night City.
By default, the environment is generated by the Lost Cities algorithm, which creates random abandoned megacities. To get a truly authentic neon city with complex architecture, the pack’s author recommends installing large user-made maps as well — for example, Linefield Cyberpunk City or EF Cyberpunk Project. The Cyberpunk 2077 Experience serves precisely as the connecting link that gives these backdrops working shooting and progression mechanics.

For now, the project remains a purely niche experiment. The file archive page shows fewer than 200 downloads, and the only release version is just 56.3 MB (not counting downloadable maps). For fans of both games, it’s a good excuse to refresh the Minecraft gameplay while the community continues to polish the pack’s balance and stability.
