Guy Ritchie’s ‘The Gentlemen’ Season 2 Premieres September 3 — Netflix Drops Trailer and Renews for Season 3

Streaming service Netflix has released the first full trailer for season 2 of the crime dramedy “The Gentlemen” (The Gentlemen) from director Guy Ritchie. All eight new episodes will be available to subscribers on September 3, 2026, and the service has already renewed the show for a third season.

Expansion into Europe and a Fight for the Criminal Throne

The sequel takes place a year after the first season’s finale. While young Duke Eddie Horniman once tried to distance himself from the underground cannabis farm he inherited, he now deliberately takes control of the shadowy empire.

As reported on Netflix Tudum, Eddie and Susie Glass are going international. The scale of the conflicts extends far beyond the English estate — filming took place on the picturesque lakes of northern Italy. Amid the questionable decisions of crime boss Bobby Glass, the characters must decide whether to remain pawns or stage a coup for sole control of the business.

Star-Studded Cast and New Faces

The entire main cast is returning:

Theo James — Eddie Horniman (Duke of Halstead);
Kaya Scodelario — Susie Glass;
Daniel Ings — the erratic brother Freddie Horniman;
Ray Winstone — Bobby Glass;
Vinnie Jones — gamekeeper Geoff;
Giancarlo Esposito — eccentric billionaire Stanley Johnston;
Joely Richardson — Lady Sabrina.

The cast has been bolstered by an impressive list of European stars. Season 2 features Hugh Bonneville (“Downton Abbey”), Italian actor Michele Morrone, Sergio Castellitto, musician Benjamin Clementine, and actress Benedetta Porcaroli. Small cameos go to British professional boxer Chris Eubank Jr. and TV presenter Maya Jama.

Guy Ritchie’s Direction and a Guaranteed Third Season

Guy Ritchie serves as showrunner, co-writer, and personally directed the key episodes alongside directors Eran Creevy and Nick Rowland, while lead actor Theo James takes on the role of co-producer.

In Netflix’s official press release, the platform confirmed it ordered a third season before the second even premiered. Ritchie himself attributed the streaming service’s confidence to the story’s cinematic scope:

“The ambitions of ‘The Gentlemen’ have grown, the world has expanded, and the stakes and consequences of the characters’ decisions have taken on real cinematic weight.”
