Netflix has released the first full trailer for Season 3 of its romantic comedy Nobody Wants This. The continuation of the story, starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, premieres October 22, 2026. The platform is keeping its binge-friendly release format: all 10 new episodes will hit the service’s library at once.
According to the show’s creators on the official Netflix Tudum blog, Season 3 dramatically shifts the tone of the show. The writers decided to move away from the classic rom-com question of whether the characters will end up together and focus instead on the realistic next stage of a relationship. Joanne and Noah move in together, and the couple then has to navigate everyday conflicts, family expectations and the emotional challenges of living together.
Morgan and Sasha’s storyline will develop in parallel. Because of major changes in Sasha’s personal life, unspoken tension builds between the two characters. Morgan also plans to focus more on her career and on scaling up the podcast she and Joanne host together.
Star cameos and how past seasons performed
Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons and Jackie Tohn are all returning to their usual roles. The cast has also added some well-known comedy names: Andrew Rannells, Sarah Silverman and Keyla Monterroso Mejia will appear in the new episodes. One notable feature of the season is that series creator Erin Foster will appear on screen in her own show for the first time, in a small role as Nicole.
Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan remain the showrunners. Netflix’s confidence in the project is backed by Season 2’s performance: it was one of Netflix’s biggest hits, drawing 18 million views in its first 11 days and holding the No. 1 spot on the service’s English-language TV chart for two weeks straight.
