HONOR Launches $110 Play20A Ultra-Budget Smartphone With Rear Secondary Screen

HONOR has introduced the budget-friendly HONOR Play20A smartphone, featuring a standalone 2-inch display on the back panel. Priced at around $110, the device packs a 6000 mAh battery, a large 90Hz screen, and a rear viewfinder feature that is rare for its price segment.
The secondary screen is integrated into a single camera module alongside the main lens.
Smart Rear Screen Viewfinder and Selfie Shooting
The mini-display with a resolution of 240 × 296 pixels is not a touchscreen, but it serves as a full mirror when shooting: users can preview the shot and take high-quality selfies with the main 13MP camera with autofocus instead of relying on the modest 5MP front-facing sensor.
The Smart Rear Screen display module also displays incoming call status, a music control widget, and personalized screensavers.

90Hz Display and Battery Life
The front of the device features a 6.9-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels (HD+) and a 90Hz refresh rate. Peak screen brightness reaches 650 nits.
A 6000 mAh battery with 15W wired charging supports long runtime. Despite the large battery capacity, the phone measures 8.4 mm thick and weighs 206.5 grams. A fingerprint scanner is built into the side power button.
Processor and Pricing
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G81 processor with 4G LTE support. Depending on the region, the device comes in 3/32 GB, 4/64 GB, and 4/128 GB variants. Storage can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot up to 1TB without sacrificing the second SIM slot.
According to Middle Eastern retail listings, the 4/64 GB model launched at 399 Qatari riyals (around $110) in Midnight Black, Light Blue, and Starry Purple colorways. International availability for other markets will be announced later by the manufacturer.
