New BMW M350 xDrive Spotted Without Camo for the First Time: 443 HP, Four Exhaust Tips and a Resemblance to the i3

A pre-production BMW M350 xDrive sedan of the new G50 generation has been caught on camera without protective camouflage for the first time. Photos of the sporty version, taken at BMW’s research center in Munich, appeared on Reddit and spread across automotive outlets. The model officially replaces the popular M340i xDrive variant, offering a redesigned body and a boosted 443-hp six-cylinder engine.

Neue Klasse Design and Four Exhaust Tips

The published images confirm that the traditional gasoline versions of the 3 Series are moving stylistically closer to the electric i3 lineup. According to Paul Tan’s Automotive News, the rear-end design almost duplicates the concept of the new electric sedan:

• Narrow LED taillights with a distinctive horizontal stroke running toward the logo;
• Flush hidden retractable door handles built into the doors;
• Four round exhaust tips on the bumper (two on each side) — a detail that used to be reserved for full-fledged sports cars in the BMW M lineup.

The photos show the car from the rear and the side, so the shape of the front lights and the geometry of the signature kidney grilles remain hidden from the public for now.

443 Horsepower and a Drift Mode That Shuts Off the Front Axle

The model’s technical specs were officially revealed in BMW Group PressClub materials following driving tests at the Miramas proving ground.

The sedan is powered by a heavily upgraded 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six from the B58 family with a 48-volt hybrid system:

• Total output is 443 hp and 580 Nm of torque (noticeably more powerful than the 382 hp of the previous M340i);
• Power goes through an 8-speed Steptronic automatic to the intelligent xDrive all-wheel drive, delivering a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h;
• The electronic aids now include a Drift Moment function that can send 100% of torque exclusively to the rear axle (the option is scheduled to roll out during 2027).

Assembly of the new-generation BMW 3 Series G50 will begin in the second half of 2026. The lineup will keep four-cylinder gasoline engines with mild-hybrid support, and BMW will unveil the production version in the coming weeks.
