Creatine, the most studied supplement in sports pharmacology, has increasingly been touted in the media as a universal “elixir of youth.” The compound is credited with extending lifespan, alleviating chronic stress, rejuvenating skin, and protecting the heart. Does Creatine Extend Life? Correlation vs. Clinical Facts
The wave of longevity articles was sparked by a study of Americans’ diets using the NHANES database, published in PubMed. Researchers followed 4,041 people over 20 years and found that those who consumed more than 1 gram of natural creatine per day from meat and fish had a 15% lower risk of all-cause mortality.
