POCO to Unveil F9 Pro and F9 Ultra Flagships September 1 With 185Hz Displays, Bose Audio, and 8,050 mAh Battery

POCO has officially confirmed the global launch date for its flagship smartphone series, the POCO F9 Pro and POCO F9 Ultra. The event will take place on September 1, 2026, at 3:00 PM Kyiv time, and the company has already published the first images of the devices, featuring a glow-in-the-dark body and audio tuned by Bose.

The lineup will traditionally skip a base numbered model, focusing instead on the Pro and Ultra versions.

F9 Ultra Design with Bose Speaker and Glow-in-the-Dark F9 Pro

According to the official teaser, the top-tier POCO F9 Ultra features a massive full-width horizontal camera module with a Sound by Bose logo and a dedicated circular grille. The device is equipped with a custom 2.1-channel audio system with an additional speaker on the rear panel and comes in a deep Dark Cherry shade.

The lower-tier POCO F9 Pro comes in an Aurora Green finish, featuring a rear panel made of photoluminescent material that absorbs light and glows autonomously in the dark.

185Hz Displays, Snapdragon Chipset, and Periscope Camera

According to 91mobiles, both devices will feature displays with a record-high 185Hz refresh rate:

• POCO F9 Pro: A 6.59-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2510×1156 pixels;
• POCO F9 Ultra: A 6.9-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2608×1200 pixels and peak brightness reaching up to 4,500 nits.

The smartphones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor with up to 16GB of RAM and run Android 16.

The F9 Ultra’s camera setup includes a 5x periscope telephoto lens and a 50MP ultrawide module, while the F9 Pro offers a standard 3x optical zoom.

8,050 mAh Battery and Expected European Pricing

According to AndroidPure, the global devices are based on China’s Redmi K100 series, but feature adjusted silicon-carbon battery capacities:

• POCO F9 Ultra: An 8,050 mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging;
• POCO F9 Pro: A 6,330 mAh battery with 100W fast charging.

According to leaks, the base price of the POCO F9 Pro in European countries will be around €799, while the flagship POCO F9 Ultra will start at €999.
