New GTA VI Gameplay Leaks Online: Hypercar Theft, Nighttime Vice City, and Upgraded Police

Another clip from a closed build of Grand Theft Auto VI has leaked online, showing protagonist Jason stealing an expensive hypercar and taking a long drive through nighttime Vice City. The new leak was posted by an insider known as Cyberleek, whose previous videos featuring airplanes, basketball, and gunfights are already being urgently taken down by Take-Two via DMCA claims.
Based on the video, carjacking mechanics have become significantly more complex: instead of instantly throwing the driver out of the cabin, players must engage in a short physical struggle using interactive prompts. Combined with previously shown mechanics for lock picking and cloning electronic key fobs, stealing vehicles in GTA VI appears noticeably more intricate than in the fifth installment.

Nighttime Vice City, Hypercar Physics, and Traffic
Most of the leaked clip focuses on a continuous drive through the city in a fictional hypercar resembling a real-world Bugatti Divo.
As PC Gamer notes in its leak analysis, the footage showcases an impressive technical leap for the RAGE engine:
- Environmental density: City streets feature continuous and varied traffic, functional road reflectors, and neon storefront reflections on wet asphalt.
- Vehicle detail: The hypercar features physically accurate active aerodynamics with a retractable rear wing, realistic gear-shifting audio, and noticeable mass inertia at high speeds.
- Draw distance: Objects and lighting in nighttime scenes load without visible pop-in across the entire view distance.
The video also captures a police chase, with patrol cars behaving more aggressively and pursuing the player longer. The community had previously discussed hints that police will be able to recognize clothing items, license plates, and car models, while some high-end vehicles will feature built-in GPS trackers.
Scale of Leaks Ahead of Official Reveal
As GamesRadar reports, the series of leaks indicates the source has direct access to a relatively recent playable build. For instance, one recent video featured a track released only in early 2025, and at the end of another clip, the player deliberately shot bullet holes into a wall to spell out the leaker’s handle.
According to Video Games Chronicle, the unauthorized posts surfaced right before the official broadcast Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. Rockstar will host an official extended gameplay showcase on August 27.
The full release of Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles is scheduled for November 19, 2026.
