Google Unveils Pokémon Sleep-Themed Fitbit Air Tracker for In-Game Sleep Leveling

Google has unveiled a special version of its wearable device — the Fitbit Air Special Edition Pokémon Sleep, created in collaboration with the developers of the mobile hit Pokémon Sleep. The ultralight display-free wristband automatically tracks sleep metrics and sends the data to the game, turning real-world sleep into in-game rewards.

Sleeping Pikachu design and a 12-gram weight

The tracker’s case lacks buttons and a screen, making the device virtually imperceptible on the wrist at night. The collector’s edition comes with a signature strap in Sleepy Blue featuring a sleeping Pikachu print.

According to the technical specifications on the Google Store, the device features the following specs:

• Weight: just 12g including the included strap;
• Battery life: up to 7 days on a single charge (a full charge cycle takes about 90 minutes);
• Sensors: optical heart rate sensor, blood oxygen saturation sensor (SpO2), and skin temperature sensor;
• Water resistance: water-resistant up to 50 meters.

Pokémon Sleep integration mechanics

According to the official Google blog, the wristband frees players from having to keep an active smartphone next to their pillow.

The tracker logs REM, light, and deep sleep stages before exporting analytics via system services like Health Connect on Android or Apple Health on iOS. Inside Pokémon Sleep, this data translates into a Sleep Score and Drowsy Power: the better and longer the user sleeps, the more rare Pokémon gather around the sleeping Snorlax in the morning.

According to the game developers’ announcement, the box also includes a digital promo code for the in-game item Pikachu Incense.

Google Health analytics and device classification

Collected telemetry is analyzed by Google Health algorithms. Buyers of the Pokémon Edition get three months of free access to Google Health Premium, featuring the Google Health Coach personal assistant that offers customized sleep hygiene advice ($9.99 per month thereafter). Google emphasizes that the device is a consumer fitness tracker and is not intended for medical diagnostics.

Pricing and availability

The standard version of the Fitbit Air without Pokémon branding is priced at $99.99, while the branded Pokémon Sleep Edition costs $129. The $29 markup covers the exclusive strap, digital bonuses, and gift packaging — the hardware specs of both models are completely identical.

Pre-orders for the device are already open, with shipments starting September 15, 2026. At launch, the special edition is officially available in the US and Japan.
