Blizzard Gives Away Free Overwatch Mythic Skin for Playing One Match to Celebrate BlizzCon

To celebrate BlizzCon 2026, Blizzard Entertainment has launched the BlizzCon Mythic Gift promotion in Overwatch. Players can claim one of the game’s rarest cosmetics—a full Mythic skin of their choice—for free. All it takes to unlock the reward is completing a single match in any standard mode.
Redemption Details and Full Level Upgrades
Once you finish a match, a special item called a Mythic Voucher is automatically credited to your profile. If it doesn’t show up immediately, the developers recommend restarting the game client.
You can redeem the voucher in the in-game shop via a dedicated event tab:
- Players can choose any Mythic skin from Battle Passes spanning Seasons 1 through 14;
- The voucher unlocks not just the base skin, but all standard visual customization tiers as well (alternate armor parts, weapons, and animations);
- More recent skins and separate Aspects color palettes are excluded from the promotion;
- Dedicated players get automatic compensation: if an account already owns every eligible skin, 50 Mythic Prisms are awarded instead of the voucher.

Event Deadline and New Hero Reveal
The voucher must be claimed and redeemed by October 5, 2026. You cannot save the coupon to purchase future Mythic items: any unused vouchers will expire once the promotion ends.
According to the official overview on the Overwatch website, the cosmetic giveaway coincides with several major announcements for the shooter. At the event, the developers unveiled the next hero, named Doctrine, announced a new map, and confirmed a major role rework for Sombra, who will transition to the Support roster.
