A version of the Procedurally Generated Training Map for Counter-Strike 2 has landed on the Steam Workshop — a port of the popular training map by OrelStealth and SCOPE.GG that originally debuted in CS:GO.
The project’s standout feature is the procedural generation of the training route. Unlike traditional aim maps, the placement of obstacles, cover, and enemies changes with every run, so players cannot simply memorize bot positions and repeat the same pattern.
The new version is available on the Steam Workshop for CS2.
The Map Originally Debuted in 2022
The original Procedurally Generated Training Map for CS:GO was published on February 10, 2022, racking up hundreds of thousands of visitors on its Workshop page.
After Counter-Strike transitioned to Source 2, the legacy version stopped working in CS2. Players kept requesting a port, and in 2026, SCOPE.GG confirmed that an updated build was in development. A direct link to the Counter-Strike 2 port has now been added to the original map’s page.
In other words, this is not a completely new training concept, but rather the return of an established project to the modern version of the game.
Enemy Positions Are Unknown in Advance
On each run, the system builds a route from individual sections inspired by competitive Counter-Strike maps.
What changes:
- the placement of cover and objects;
- enemy positions;
- the order of route sections.
As a result, players have to constantly clear angles and react to emerging targets instead of shooting at predetermined spots.
The bots here also differ from the static targets found on most aim maps. They can strafe, attack from awkward angles, and throw flashbangs, making practice feel much closer to real-match scenarios.
Took some time, but…

PROCEDURALLY GENERATED TRAINING MAP is back!
In collaboration with @scope_gg, we are happy to bring this map back to Source 2 with all-new co-op mode support, improved location generation and a better flow!

The original version allowed players to adjust bot count and difficulty, select weapons, enable a headshots-only mode, and track completion times. The CS2 release brings overhauled bot behavior, additional training settings, and co-op support with friends.
As such, the Procedurally Generated Training Map functions more like a compact, dynamic firing range than a traditional map like Aim Botz.
Calling it the “best CS2 training map” would be subjective, but the underlying concept remains unique: every run forces players to read the environment from scratch and seek out enemies, rather than mechanically repeating the exact same routine.
